| The scientific societies expect a great deal from the shockwave therapist in terms of their professional training and their medical equipment. Because I am the one who performs all treatments personally, here is some information about my expert medical knowledge: Medical studies in Mainz and Luebeck, elective study residences in Zaire, Belgium and Switzerland, examination in 1989, then seven years of experience with surgery in Hanover, eighteen months with general medicine in Hanover and Switzerland and six months with ENT and another six months with general medicine in Hanover. |

Specialist training in chiropractic and emergency medicine. Further elective periods in Rwanda and in Switzerland. General practitioner since 2000 and set up in my own practice in Hanover. Active in emergency medicine since 1996, above all as senior physician of the Doctors On Call team in Hanover.
But why do I practise shockwave therapy? Because as a chiropractor and with my preference for the surgery I have developed special enthusiasm for the locomotor system and its disorders - and ESWT offers many solutions for patients whose last option would be an operation. My membership of International Society of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (stosswellentherapie.com, ismst.com) provides me with up-to-date access to scientific findings and, above all, professional discussion with other orthopaedic specialists and surgeons who are shockwave therapists themselves. And what about the shockwave therapy for induratio penis plastica (IPP)? A simple answer: there are no urologists and no other places in Hanover or Lower Saxony for treatment of the penis!
