Fee

The following notes apply only to patients who are insured by German statutory health insurance or who have private insurance.
  • German health insurance schemes are restrictive concerning shockwave therapy: only private patients have a claim for reimbursement for the doctor's fee.
  • The industrial injury insurances (Berufsgenossenschaften) accept responsibility for the payment if the patient suffers from sequelae of an occupational accident.

According to the current German Fees Order for Doctors (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte) the cost for a single treatment session ranges from 60 € to 380 €, in special cases up to 500 €.
