STORZ Modulith SLK
This innovative lithotripter from the STORZ company in Switzerland enables us to provide computer-assisted shockwave therapy. An integrated roentgenoscope is optoelectronically connected to the shockwave generator, so that the focussed shockwaves can be directed exactly into calcified deposits, fracture zones or tendon insertions.
This avoids unnecessarily long x-ray-fluoroscopy or inexact focussing on the above mentioned targets. The STORZ Modulith SLK also enables a wide variety of low energy (for superficial causes of disease) to high energy (for deep-seated target organs) treatments. Patients mostly lie on their back on an adjustable hydraulic table. If required, a special vacuum-cushion can fix the treated arm or leg.
STORZ Duolith SD1
This latest development in shockwave device technology combines middle to high-energy focussed shockwaves (for deep-seated conditions) with low-energy, unfocussed radial pressure waves which are based on a completely different physical principle and provide great advantages in the treatment of painful conditions such as heel spurs, tennis elbow and Achilles tendonitis.
